Treading water

So... How long has it been since graduation...... weeks... many....

I have been kind of wonder water. I am trying really hard to get caught up on the stuff I let go while I was making it over the finish line so to speak. I am also struggling to get started on new things. All these things have been pretty hard to do while working.

Teaching ,surprisingly, sucks ever last drop of life out of you. Its cool too because you get to see these young kids and watch them develop but I have never been asked so many questions in my life!!!! Also while doing this all my fellow TAs and myself have been working on side games. Jake(awesome programmer wizard kid from NY), Darrius(you know him) and myself have been working on too games. Both games are for "the cave" which is a room with three giant screens on three walls.(oh yeah... its cool) One game is an underwater bejeweled that is a two player game. We are almost done with it. The other is a Space pong.

Here is some sample art for the character chick for the pong game.

I have also been trying to get started on working on some 3d stuff. I started a room today. I got a lot of it done before I had to start teaching the kids. The kids stuff is looking pretty good to. It makes me happy. They whine and groan a lot about the work but ,I am sure, once they are done they will be happy to look back on it.

So, I think things are getting better. Just have to keep moving. My job is over soon. Two weeks... Its odd. I have already had to say goodbye to one place. Now I have to say good by to another that I am attacked too but things change. Life goes on.

Now its time for ultimate job hunt!!!

I just need to add some more good stuff to my reel. For some reason having to teach 3d and Photostat has me understanding it better..... Hopefully the kids understand when I teach it.

See you tomorrow.

  1. Whoa, the room is coming out good. I miss all of you in Pitt. I can't seem to finish any projects...there seems to be a lack of motivation without you guys to work around. I wish you luck in your job search! I hope it comes along better then mine is.
